2 of 16 2. The Billing launchpad is a navigation aid to provide an easy to understand view over all of the major functions delivered in FinancialForce Billing. Clicking on a button drills into the underlying processes that support that main function.

The general ledger processes and functions are presented here, providing easy access to several key finance functions, such as journals, accruals and bank reconciliation, it means you don't have to navigate through the tabs at the top to find the function you need, also you can find functions in context of the core process they are supporting.

9 of 16 9. This invoice has been used to create a revenue recognition schedule which is used for deferred income, typically needed for subscription billing processes, revenue recognition is an optional function, you can also have standard invoices or recurring invoices.

There is a hyperlink on the invoice to the corresponding transaction - this is the ledger posting and shows the debits and credits balancing, as well as the account analysis of all the transaction lines. The posting of balancing debits and credits happens in real time, it is not possible to post a none balancing document to the ledger.

11 of 16 11. From the transaction you can link into the account, this provides a 360 degree view of the account, displaying CRM data and Financial data on a single view. This is critical for operational staff who are dealing with customers all the time and need the most up to date information, for example, knowing whether their customer has paid all the latest invoices, this can help when having to make important decisions in the sales cycle.

Using the standard dashboard features from the salesforce engine we have produced an overview dashboard showing high level information necessary for the CFO to run the business, the level of analysis can be broken down to show where the operating expenses or assets are in the business. The dashboard components allow full drill down into the underlying report and further to the individual transactions being used in the reports. This is an extremely useful feature for accountants to understand the high level numbers

14 of 16 14. The Cash Management dashboard provides a view of the bank account balances so you can see whether you need to move any funds around based on interest rates, for example. You can see cash inflow and outflow on a month by month basis that can be used for comparison purposes to ensure stable cashflow within the business.
