Overview

FinancialForce Accounting is a full online solution and the only accounting application that “speaks Salesforce”. The current release – “Summer ’10” – opens up the latest cloud accounting technology and expands the application’s financial management capabilities once again:

  • Dissolving inter-departmental boundaries – our customers will be among the first to benefit from the potential of the new “Chatter” tools. Our new collaboration engine enables more effective business processes, which enable your teams to work together to maximize opportunities and avoid costly payment delays and disputes.
  • Even better for day-to-day use – making a real difference to your most frequent tasks and processes:
    • More intuitive – our new slicker, quicker user interface builds on improvements to the Salesforce CRM look-and-feel for easier navigation and working.
    • Pay process improvements – we’re continuously looking at ways to make core processes even more efficient and helpful for our users. Summer ’10 streamlines accounts payable handling, with fewer steps, fewer clicks and simpler completion.
  • Delivering more for “power users” – as part of our ongoing commitment to keep adding to the depth and breadth of financial management functions that we cover. Summer ’10 includes enhanced handling of currencies, intercompany transactions and revenue recognition.

Financialforce Accounting includes the following key functions:

  • Accounts Receivable

    – including more streamlined and accurate sales invoice creation and processing, through to cash matching, aged debt analysis and cash collection management – for example:
    • the ability to create an invoice directly from any "opportunity", support case or other billable activity captured in Salesforce CRM
    • sophisticated deferred revenue recognition scheduling capabilities
    • tailored and scheduled payment reminder mailings.
  • General Ledger accounting

    – supporting accountants’ key processes. The market-leading unified-ledger design and flexible chart of accounts structure of CODA’s on-premise financial software is now available on demand. It includes:
    • multi-currency and multi-company operational transaction handling
    • bank reconciliation and budgeting
    • day-to-day reporting and analysis
  • Accounts Payable

    – covering the Invoice to Pay process, to support vendor management, purchase invoice processing and payments.
  • Reporting and Dashboards

    - better financial visibility across your organization. FinancialForce Accounting users also gain a range of ready-made and customizable financial reports and dashboards, which enable you to monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and get a real-time view of all areas of your business.
